Oakville. Waterfront. Festival. Nothing more needs to be said about this show. And yet we press on with the write-up ...
The Daybreak returned to the hometown of 75% of the band for the second time, taking the stage at the annual Waterfront Festival. Although the day was hot and humid and the band were performing outdoors advantage was taken of the fine opportunity and the band performed a quick 20 minute set.
Opening with "Miss California" proved, as always, a good choice. The irrestible melody saw more than a few in the crowd singing along. "Shuffle" was next up, it's intensity palpable throughout and "Twice As High As The Sun" followed suit. The band tied it all up in a neat little package with "Hindsight" and "When I Need You The Most", always popular, always intense and always a lot of fun.
Thanks to everyone involved at the festival for the opportunity (especially Jill and Brian), to those who came out to the show (especially to those people who knew ALL the words) and to Oakville for always repping (especially at OWF!). Oakville for Life.
